We’ll definitely have beautiful bunches of gorgeously scented sweetpeas on Saturday!!!

We really want to share the pea-love especially as they’re sown & grown in Stony, so they’ll be just £2.50 a bunch!

If you need a last minute gift, we have a small eclectic range of glass and/ceramic vases… just bob us a message. 🤗

Well this is a lovely surprise! (nb grubby gardening hands as standard.)

Apart from selling the plants that we’ve grown from seed, we put as many as we can in our tiny front garden on Wolverton Rd.

Our tiny front garden is all we have and it’s very special to us & that’s why your garden, whatever the size, is so important to us.

We need every plant to earn a place in your garden and we think you should have some beautiful flowers + foliage that you can’t find elsewhere.

We’ve not sown The Tangier Pea (Tingitanus) before and even though it’s an annual, it’s actually a bit of a star, climbing remarkably quickly and the flowers are either deep cerise (thanks Anna for the pics) or rose.

The rose flowers have just appeared on our railings today & they’re stunning.

If you’d like a Tangier Pea of your own, we’ve got a few left and will bring them on Saturday or you can apparently ‘hit me up’ for a collect/drop. 😬

Well it’s got warm again. 🥵

I’ve just dashed to plot to shade everything esp seedlings. 😐

It’s getting a bit silly weather-wise so we’re dm
working on a permanent solution, that can be quickly deployed.

We put the hours in but a sudden blip of heat can literally fry seedlings and toast perennials.

If you could nip down & visit us at The Bull Market on Saturday, 9am-2pm we would greatly appreciate it, as it really does make everything worthwhile. ☺️

If you’ve got fruit trees, don’t rely on the June drop.

I glanced upward today & I’ve never ever seen so many plums!😱

I had to do a swift cull to protect the branches as full fruiting would have certainly led to snapping wood.

The last pic is of a multi-stem from the greengage tree, which we normally get about 5 fruit from.
🥴

Anything over-long got shortened, which removed weight and the resulting stems lifted nicely. I’ll sort out tall lofty stems with the pole pruner.

If there’s this amount of fruit around just be extra careful in the Summer, as too much sugar makes the wasps extra busy and rather over-excited. 😬

And after his debut in the sequel : ‘The Not so Fast & Furious’ the Academy Award for ‘playing dead’ goes to Mr Vin E Weevil.

You might want to put the kettle on, he’s in it for the long haul. 😬
