Another project completed for one of our loyal repeat customers, this time transforming their master bedroom in Shepshed.

The walls were finished in Johnstone’s durable matt paint, while a stunning Farrow & Ball wallpaper was installed on the feature wall to add a touch of luxury and character.

Before any decorating began, we made sure everything was fully protected. Carpets were covered with protective film, doors were sealed with tape and drape, and the bed and built-in wardrobes were carefully wrapped to keep the room spotless throughout the project.

Now, let’s talk about that Farrow & Ball wallpaper. Beautiful? Absolutely. Expensive? Definitely. Easy to hang? Not even close! With a specialist non-acidic solvent adhesive required and every roll carrying a premium price tag, I handled that wallpaper with more care than I did raising my own kids when they were younger!

The icing on the cake was the hospitality. Lunch provided every day and fresh coffee appearing almost hourly. I was getting treated better here than I do at home!

A huge thank you to a fantastic couple who made the job an absolute pleasure from start to finish. It’s always rewarding when customers trust us to come back and help improve another part of their home.

Not every day has to be a big project! Sometimes it’s nice to spend a day in the sunshine cutting a nice, straight hedge and leaving everything looking neat and tidy. Always a pleasure working for this returning customer, who kept the drinks flowing and the biscuit tin stocked while providing plenty of good conversation. Another happy customer and another hedge looking its best! 🌿☀️

A returning customer in Mountsorrel originally contacted us for a routine hedge reduction on two beautiful Portuguese laurels.

This year, although the hedges still looked fantastic, they had started blocking too much natural light into the kitchen. After discussing ideas with the customer, she said:

“I have this vision to brighten up my front garden… can you help?”

Challenge accepted ✅

After carefully removing the laurels, we transformed the area using 10 white porcelain tiles, professionally bonded with slurry primer and finished with decorative white pebbles to create a clean, modern, light-reflecting entrance space.

A huge thank you to Karl & Brad from KDF Tiling Birstall for helping with the final tile cuts — 20mm porcelain tiles definitely aren’t easy to cut unless you’ve got the right equipment and all for the price of a few ice lollies in this blistering English May Spring. 🍭🍦😂

Over the past 12 months, we’ve had the pleasure of completing the final stages of a full house decoration project in Quorn, carefully planned and completed in phases to suit the customer’s budget without compromising on quality or finish.

The final two rooms brought the project together beautifully. The main bedroom featured newly installed built-in wardrobes that required meticulous protection throughout the decorating process to ensure every surface remained flawless. The room was finished using premium Johnstone’s Paint colours Light Slate and Mayan Gold, creating a warm, elegant space with a modern touch.

The last room to complete was the home office, decorated using Johnstone’s Paint Clay Cover Plus — a durable, high-quality finish ideal for a hardworking everyday space while still delivering a clean and contemporary appearance.

By working closely with the customer and scheduling the project over a 12-month period, we were able to transform the entire property at a pace that suited their financial plans, delivering professional results, attention to detail, and a consistent finish throughout every room of the home.

A £5,000 patio quote? That nearly cost this Mountsorrel homeowner her summer getaway—until she gave us a call.

Instead of ripping everything out and starting from scratch, we took a smarter approach. With a professional pressure wash and a gentle chemical treatment, we brought the existing patio back to life—lifting years of grime and restoring its original colour.

Then, using reclaimed rail sleepers, we added a couple of stylish sleeper borders to frame the space and give the garden a fresh, modern feel.

The result? A garden that looks brighter, cleaner, and completely refreshed—without the hefty price tag.

Total saved: £4,300.
And that saving? It’s now funding a well-deserved trip to Italy this summer.

Sometimes, it’s not about spending more—it’s about making what you already have work better.

When one of our regular garden maintenance customers asked if we could bring the outside of his property back to life, we were more than happy to help.
Years without a proper clean had taken their toll—patio, walls, paving, and front block paving were all covered in stubborn black spot, lichen, and built-up grime. It was time for a full transformation.
We started with an initial pass using our surface cleaner to lift the worst of the dirt. Then came a targeted deep clean with the turbo lance, followed by a professional chemical treatment to break down the remaining growth. To finish, we gave everything a final surface clean—revealing surfaces that looked as good as new.
After two solid days of pressure washing, we completed the job with fresh re-sanding of the block paving, locking everything back into place and restoring that crisp, finished look.
Now the whole space is clean, bright, and ready to enjoy—just in time for those long summer days, garden gatherings, and well-earned cream tea afternoons.

Twice a year, like clockwork, one of our regular customers in Quorn calls us in - and for good reason.

Living beneath a towering pine tree might look picturesque, but it comes with its challenges. By autumn and spring, the gutters are packed tight with stubborn pine needles, and the conservatory roof loses its sparkle under layers of debris.

That’s where we come in.

This visit was all about getting everything fresh and flowing again. A full gutter vacuum to clear out the blockages, followed by a thorough clean of the UPVC and conservatory roof—bringing it all back to life just in time for spring.

And with the sun shining down, it couldn’t have been a more perfect day to get it done.

Another home protected, another happy customer, and a property ready to enjoy the brighter days ahead.
