Another happy customer this week! 👍

I was contacted by a young lady who had just had brand-new carpets fitted upstairs and found that all six of her doors were catching due to the extra carpet thickness.

Luckily, I had some availability and was able to get the doors trimmed and working perfectly again.

This week’s mission: transform some not-so-pretty pipework in a downstairs loo! 🚽🔨

The customer didn’t want the usual boxing-in job. Instead, they wanted it built to a consistent height all the way around, ready for some stylish panelling as part of their upcoming redecoration.

While I was there, I spotted a sneaky little leak on the existing waste pipe that had been hiding away. 👀💧 Rather than leaving it to cause problems later, I replaced the pipe there and then, leaving everything watertight and ready for the next stage of the makeover.

It’s always satisfying when a job not only looks better but works better too!

This week at Bick’s Fix I had a special helper with me! It was work experience week, and my son Jack, who has Autism, struggled to find a placement — so Bick’s Fix stepped in to the rescue.

Safe to say, he absolutely smashed it! 💪
Jack was brilliant at painting, mowing, and all kinds of general labouring jobs. He worked hard, got stuck in, and was a huge help all week. I couldn’t be prouder.

Well done Jack, and thank you for all your help! 👏

As one week ends and another begins… what a great week it’s been!

A big thank you to all my returning customers, and plenty of new faces too — always appreciated 🙌

It’s been a busy one with a real mix of jobs, including:

• uPVC door refreshes
• Flat pack builds
• Shelving & large mirror installs
• Summer house painting
• Bench restorations

This week’s been so busy I completely forgot to take pictures 😅 These are the only ones I managed to get!

New light fittings
