PRODUCT INFORMATION & AFTER CARE
We aim to produce simple and original examples of rustic supports & frameworks for your garden,
using only natural materials. The willow used is unstripped and has its own natural sheen which
will fade as the outer layers weather and harden. To prolong the life of these products we
recommend that they are brought under cover at the end of the growing season whenever possible.
To give additional protection we suggest coating them with a 50/50 mixture of boiled linseed
oil and turpentine.

Traditional conical shaped plant supports have been around for many years and their design derives from the willow salmon traps used traditionally to catch salmon on the river Severn and are known for their design qualities, strength and durability. Withyworks is now making an extra large support with a base diameter of 70cms giving more planting potential and are ideal for larger gardens & borders. These sturdy supports are also good in exposed or windy situations. Each band of willow is tied with a ‘Butterfy tie’ to increase longevity.
