Honey Berries - the earliest of the fruits to ripen on the plot. Two plants are needed to get fruits and often need protected from most birds like pigeons and even magpies. Caterpillars often live in the top green leaves from early spring.
Now in their third year of growth, they gave a full tub of berries and are now being preserved three ways because I couldn’t decide which would be best.

W/Honey
W/Sugar
Raw flavour is tart and the texture is soft including the seeds - they just melt. Flavour may differ for other plants and conditions though? Who else grows them?
