It's been a crazy busy week in our lock lab. From teaching our students to replace broken hinges, stripping down doors and reglazing,, learning to board windows dealing with all multi points, to safes, auto locks, 3 star rated cylinders and more.

They all love their new tool kits. What person does not love an extra Christmas day of tool opening April 😂

Today's been a fun day at Cornwall and Devon Locksmith Training with Tony. Today was all about toe and heeling uPVC doors, broken hinge replacement, dealing with multi point issues from failed mechanisms to stuck hook and shoot bolts and of course the afternoon picking locks. 😁

Let's see what tomorrow brings.

We are ending the year with 3 new awards which we are stoked about. We have some huge plans for 2026.

What a day in the lock lab with big Ben from Devon.

Today was about failed multi points in composite doors with high security cylinders and handles, dropped doors and servicing, realignment, working in 3D hinges, flag hinges and so much more.

We also stripped down a failed french door, stuck shoot bolts. Fully rebuilt. Much fun.

Also we have just put up our March Guild of Master Locksmiths group course. A maximum of 5 places but 3 went today. So we have. 2 spaces left.

Foundation training course, learn from home before attending your hands on LFA1 course. It's the gold standard of foundation based courses in the UK.

You will attend our 5 days hands-on training with accommodation for up to 4 people on the 21st to 28th March 2026 and this is to a Guild of Master Locksmiths Level 3. No one comes close to offering what we do on this course.

What a group of epic students for this course.

This week we went from picking wafer locks, dealing with garage locks to picking standard cylinders to 3 star and diamond rated locks, we stripped down multi point doors and mechanisms, opened safes on a safe entry course and learned how hard the skill of auto locksmithing actually is on our auto entry course.

We did toe and heeling, servicing on uPVC doors and got a chance to check out some of new tools and older ones which were much fun.

Each student had undertaken the LFA1 training course from home to get them course ready. They then attended for 1 week with accommodation.

All in all a busy week but everyone passed their residential and commercial level 3.

Next they will return home today and start on part 3 of our training programme. The competency training program where they must demonstrate set skills via our online training programme as they work for the next 14 weeks to finalise their training before moving into our business program.

They all walked away with a full tool kit, a full stock package from the amazing

We love when our students bring their family and doggos. Meet Ambrose, a beautiful dog. He came on his own little Cornish adventure while his mum Lois under took her Guild of Master Locksmiths Level 3 Award. Ambrose spent most of his week with grandma exploring our park. It has over 20 acres of stunning trees, fields, meadows with 3 lakes and lots of dog walking areas. They explored Newquay, our village, the beaches and loved every moment.

Grandma got the chance to spend the week relaxing in our 2024 accommodation when not out on adventures. All of the students get to enjoy our campus accommodation as part of their course. We a re proud to be the only Lockmsith training centre to offer full accommodation with our courses set in such a stunning location.

It was a pleasure to meet Ambrose and Lois and grandma 😁.

This winters annual group training course in residential, commercial locksmithing with added level 1 safes and auto entry courses started. .

The students checked into our campus accommodation in Newquay. They are all staying in new 2024 static holiday rentals that come fully loaded, flat screen TVs, built in microwaves, fridge freezers, king size beds, ensuites.

Yesterday we did our orientation, sorted out each student's tool kit and training kits ready for today and what a day. They came out firing.

Today we day 1 all of the students headed back to the accommodation with a pass on wafer lock entry, standard cylinder picking and using electric pick guns in standard cylinders. They also crushed the foundational basics.

Tomorrow we move into failed uPVC and multi point doors before heading off around the campus so each student has a live real door to strip down, service and rebuild as tomorrow we study and practice the hands on entry into failed multi points.

All in all a fantastic first day of training. 4 more days left then everyone will return home with the tools, home training kits before then enroll onto our competency home training program. Then once they pass that they will move to our business development programme.

Next group session will be in March 2026 and we have 3 spaces left.
