Currently I am in Korea. Whenever I’m in a different country, I love exploring local markets and supermarkets, and recently I visited a medium-sized neighborhood supermarket. It was a great way to see everyday Korean food culture up close.

Someday, I may organize a small tour in Korea focused on local cuisine, food, and cooking—exploring supermarkets, traditional markets, affordable local eateries, traditional dishes, and street food.

I hope you enjoy a little taste of the Korean market vibe!

A snippet of this week’s Thai cooking class! We learnt about Thai spices and sauces and successfully made tom kha kai (coconut chicken soup) and som tum (green mango salad)! 🍲🥭

Not only do our classes involve cooking, but also an opportunity to dine together and learn about the historical and cultural influences which have shaped Asian cuisine!
