Late last year, one of my dearest clients passed away after a short illness. She was almost 10 years older than me. I met her 3 years ago, when she contacted me about helping her with her lovely garden. The plan was that we’d work together on it. We talked plants, colours and how working outside was so completely beneficial to mind and body. We shared a similar outlook on life. During her illness last year, each time I worked in the garden without her, I’d cut a small bunch of what ever was flowering, along with fragrant herbs and pop it in a vase to put next to her chair, and take a video (with waffling commentary) so she still felt connected with her garden.
After saying goodbye to her in January, today is the first time I’ve make a posey for her. I left it for her husband when I finished working today. He’s put it next to her photo in the lounge. I miss her
