It’s been just over 2 years since we started our visitors book. During that time we’ve had lots of lots of great comments from visitors across the UK, plus a number from overseas. Those international visitors came from Australia, Cyprus, Italy, Netherlands, Romania, South Africa, Spain, and the USA.

Fyi. Greenhouse now ready for its spring wash. If everything goes according to plan, Jack should be in there tomorrow morning to do the necessary. For those of you available to lend a hand, could we please meet at 1pm to put everything back in place. I'll bring along the long steps to sort out the shading. :)

Bellerby Community Garden is having its first 'getting involved day' of the year, on Thursday 27th Feb, weather permitting, between 1& 3pm. Open to anybody who would like to join in.
Following a change in circumstances, we also have a few openings for new volunteers. So, if you'd like to get involved in this ongoing project, why not come on down and have a look. Open to gardens and non gardeners alike. No previous experience is necessary.
Regards.

Steve.

My thanks to the volunteers and junior helpers who put in a shift down at the BCG this afternoon.
I have a message from the compost 🪱. Thank you for topping up the compost bins with your vegetable scraps. But, Please don't put citrus fruits in the compost bins. We don't like them. Can you also avoid plastic bags and waxed paper, they are very chewy, and don't break down.

:)

Hi all. Thursday 26th of September is our next work day in the community garden. There will be plenty to do at this time of year. So if you have an hour or two to spare between 1 & 3, why not join us before we retire to the memorial hall to enjoy coffee & a chat.

It was great pleasure to welcome Rishi back to the Community Garden. One of his tasks was to sign the visitors book, where he wrote “What an incredible transformation from my visit in 2022. A huge congrats and thanks to all of you for creating such a special place”.

A big thank you to Peter and Jeff, for their time and use of their equipment. And to Sue & Dean for access to their electricity. The step is now in place for the children's section of the BCG. Needs a few days to harden off before use. :) Stones decorated by local children.
