Tiling a kitchen floor near Towcester on Monday that was laminated. The customer has lifted it prior to my arrival to reveal areas that need grinding, possibly levelling and definitely priming first.

Can’t wait to get started on laying these 1m x 1m Porcelain tiles across 50sq metres of floors wall to wall from front door, into the kitchen and finally into an area that was a playroom but now earmarked as a casual office area.

In order to use a colour matching grout that wont fade, discolour or deteriorate over time I shall once again break open a few tubs of Kerakoll Epoxy Resin grout and the colour chosen is the aptly named “KK4”

Such a descriptive and practical name for a colour.

Another floor ground back to the original screed today, ready fur tiling tomorrow.

More grinding today at a property in Kettering town centre in order to prepare the substrate correctly prior to tiling.

Old adhesive ground off once tiles were removed from the kitchen floor, the original substrate will be thoroughly primed prior to re tiling.
