January has been a slow month due to some severe weather ❄ ☔, however I have been getting out and about when I've been able to (with lots of layers and plenty of coffee 🙃).

I've recently planted a new hedge of Viburnum tinus to soften a fence line, providing evergreen colour and winter blooms.

Undergone maintenance pruning of a Laurel hedge (Prunus laurocerasus), cutting out any dead, diseased or damaged growth.

And cleared a fruit and veg plot and added a support structure in readiness of spring planting! 🌿

Designed and planted this low maintenance corner bed of evergreen flowering shrubs and herbaceous perennials. Once matured, these plants will fill the space and provide colour, texture and interest throughout the different seasons, year after year. 🍃
Bulbs will be added this autumn in preparation for the spring bloom! 🌼

Enjoyed planting this Privet hedge for one of my regular customers this week 👌🏼🌱. Once matured, Privet (Ligustrum ovalifolium) provides a natural screen and has year round interest. It’s also a nice habitat for wildlife! 🐦

All this autumn leaf fall has kept me busy! Clearing leaves and debris from lawns, flower beds and pathways to help keep customers’ gardens tidy and walkways safe👌🏼🍁🍂💨
Not all leaves need removing though, fallen leaves are organic matter that make a great mulch and can also be added to your compost!
