Managed to squeeze in these Keylight loft ladders and boarding for customer at Oxenhope over the weekend. The old lathe and plaster ceilings posed a challenge but luckily with a bit of care things went well and managed to get them patched back in. Taking time to protect the carpets throughout although they are due to be replaced.

Gave all the old and new woodwork a woodworm treatment as there were signs but may have been historic.

Back to a little loft conversion that's ticking away in the background.

Its been a grand couple of weeks and not just the weather (which I hope everyone has enjoyed) unfortunately I've been busy inside mostly and haven't had much time for awt else. So here's the finished porch from last time I got on!

Oak tongue and grooved cladding underneath, customers own feature design.

Currently booking late August and beyond with a few projects booked later in the year.

Something a little different for me the last few days. Something I've not really touched since I were an apprentice, a bit of lead! Porch roof complete a keen eye will spot a little detail I've done at the front edge, ready for the underside to be cladded in oak boards and while I was there I've fettled up a rotting window frame as the customer didn't fancy a full replacement just yet. All rot removed and resin filled before the new nosing piece went on, ready to be pointed back in next week. Sure to outlast the rest of the frame. Sometimes the jobs aren't bonnie but necessary! Again lucky to still be able to get rescued and patched in!

Nice few days getting this gate made and fitted for a repeat customer. New posts but made use of the old ironmongery. Made from planed, treated tongue and groove boards for a nicer finish that will last. Onto the porch roof next and something I've not done since I were an apprentice...

A little job today in Cononley replacing some rotting cladding, could have turned into a can of worms and much bigger! Luckily the membrane had done it's job and the framing behind was sound. Ripped off the old and replaced with new pvc that will last. Silicone up, tidy and rubbish away with me. Dare I say with the weather almost pleasant to be up top of the ladders!

So I've been quiet on here lately due to recovering from surgery, but what a project to jump back in to!

Extension to the rear of the property creating more space in the kitchen, featuring a green oak frame to the side to create a sheltered space outside with sliding glass doors.
The stonework on this is stunning, with a stone set path around the perimeter. All building work carried out by Malc Hanson.

Inside the kitchen showcases Howdens Chilcomb in Linen. Fully integrated fridge and freezer, pantry larder and half larder to finish the full bank of tall units. An Island with hob and inline extractor backed off with a fluted oak backing panel, the lighting placement here really shows it off and plinth lighting for the Yorkshire stone flooring and the stone tops really finish it all off.

Really has been a pleasure doing this one and couldn't ask for better customers. Great effort by all involved.

A little kitchen just about finished this morning. Plumber and electrician have a few bits to do and flooring before the Plinths go on. Customers are happy so onto the next job for me.

A little staircase renovation bringing it back in line with regulations and providing much needed storage for a growing family. Mdf door routered to match the doors running through the house. Not a easy task with the last weeks weather but lucky I've got the workshop to run to.

Out with the old in with new. Took out some old bowed shelves and replaced with new floating shelves, boxing in the gas meter out of view.
Now taking bookings into November.
