A 61-year-old man has been arrested for stealing a brass eagle from St Augustine's Church in Edgbaston, Birmingham.

The 1868 lectern was recovered from a scrap dealer in the Black Country a week later.

Caught on CCTV (not ours). Equipment worth about £200 has been stolen from the Welcome Community Garden in Gloucester, within the grounds of Hucclecote Methodist Church.

The thief was caught on CCTV taking 12 scaffolding boards from the community garden.
