Managed to spend a day, stripping the many layers of paint from our vestibule door. I contemplated getting it dipped, but I find that ruins the integrity of the door.
I wanted to reveal the detail of the door, so didn’t want to simply add another layer of paint. Updates to follow.

I’ve got a bit of a strange fascination with antique safes. Here’s one that I’m currently tidying up to display.
I’m contemplating, getting a custom made cushion to tie to the top, so we can use it for added seating, come Christmas party season!
I do have another Victorian safe for sale, if anybody is interested....

Two tasks completed this weekend.
First was fitting the period style, cast towel rail in our bathroom.
Other job, was to fit the rustic looking chained beam lamp in our dining room.

The wife and I visited Totnes open market today, a Saturday ritual we enjoy every Autumn and Winter.
I picked up a beautiful, ornate sash window lock for just £5!
I’ll fix this to the inner vestibule door/frame, to create an authentic security feature.
Pics will follow, once the lock is restored and fitted.

As a start, here’s our humble, three bedroom, mid terraced house, that we’re half way through renovating.
