Woodgates trees Woodgates Trees is run by Phil Woodgate who is a trained tree surgeon.

Along with his team, he is able to cater for most garden needs including tree and hedge reduction, removals and pruning as well as fencing, stump grinding and garden clearance. Woodgates trees undertakes tree operations, including dead wooding, crown reductions, crown thinning, dismantles and hedge cutting. Phil Woodgate can also be sub contracted out on a day rate basis, coming straight to site with tools, climbing kit and saws.

The red line shows the 'branch protection zone'. When pruning a branch it is most important not to cut into as by doing so makes the tree vulnerable to tree diseases. It is Important to cut as close as you can to it tho to allow the tree to heal the wound over, picture 2. The picture shows the correct place to do the pruning cut.
