Amazing news: we’ve been awarded £20,000 from the National Lottery Community Fund to establish a new SEN Forest Hub in the woods!

Our vision is to make forest school groups accessible to families and children with a wide range of needs. We want to provide a dry, safe and inclusive open-air community space (including an accessible toilet, sensory areas and a place to prepare food), because everyone deserves the opportunity to experience the freedom and joy a day in the woods can bring.

We understand the financial pressures that many SEN families feel, and will seek to make the groups and use of the space donation-only wherever we can. We want to involve SEN families as much as possible to ensure that we are meeting the needs of our local community, so watch this space if you would like to be involved in our working committee.

A prime area for weeds...
So, a little clear up, weeding, membrane, and a tonne and a bit of stone later...a new 'storage' area is created...☺️
