It’s finally Spring (we hope)!

Do your hedges, ornamental trees or fruit trees need a good old tidy?

Now is the time to give your beloved hedges, ornamentals and fruit trees the attention they require.

We thinned-out this rather magnificent magnolia tree and reduced the height by around eight feet to open it up and allow plenty of light and air in readiness for next year’s blooms. There were plenty of watershoots to remove and a few crossed branches which resulted in an overcrowded structure. We can’t wait to see the resulting blooms, next year.

And, who’s doesn’t love a neatly trimmed conifer?!

** Box Moth Caterpillar Update**

The Box Moth Caterpillar is still causing havoc with box plants (Buxus Sempervirens) and will likely do so until around October!

If you notice any type of webbing on your plants, take a closer look through the foliage for these troublesome pests and get in touch with us to provide you with a quote for the best course of treatment.

Caught early, we can usually provide effective measures to eradicate the caterpillars and save your plants from a rather swift (and costly) demise!
