I didn’t know what it was when I bought it - I just knew it was quirky and old…much like myself

Imagine it sitting on a candlelit mahogany desk…a Victorian gentleman drawing on his clay pipe, hazy in clouds of smoke

It epitomises everything the Victorians were to me - a tool for everything but created with flair…

|A Quiet blue & white corner|

A week away in the Forest of Dean has bought serenity, calm and a surprising number of joyful finds

This darling was ungraciously taped together, dusty and unceremoniously amongst piles of things…quietly waiting to be found

and found she was

this old lady maybe crazed, but she is beautifully intact with not a chip or nick

Needless to say she came home with me

What a wonderful week I’ve had and a joyful floral Friday is the perfect way to top it off

Sharing in association with Elsie 🌸 and a Daisy from the natural meadow outside my door

|Edwardian tea & friendship|

A storied addition to my home

I couldn’t resist this beautiful antique Wedgwood stack from Bekki .story26

The crisp gilding and still bright intricate design belies its age. Oak leaves representing wisdom and sweet pink ribbon “true lovers knots” symbolising friendship

The hand-painted code under a Portland Vase mark tells the story of bespoke treasure from early 1900, custom-crafted for a grand estate

A set made for long conversations, open books and a slowing down of the day - just as relevant now

Beautifully and safely packaged, there is something special about a purchase arriving with a timeless story of friendship already attached

An attic find this set has somehow found its way to my ‘bibliothéque de coeur’ - library of the heart - a story continued

Was it chance or fate I came across Bekki’s profile, a following friendship and the quiet yes drawing me to buy from her unaware of the symbolism at the time. All I know is I would buy from her again in a heartbeat.

|The Wares No.1: Charlotte|

From now on every Tuesday evening I’ll be opening the doors to a collection of exceptional finds right here on my grid and stories.

To mark my first official drop, I’m thrilled to introduce “Charlotte”—a truly spectacular, large-scale pedestal bowl from Royal Creamware’s coveted, archival “Masterpieces” line (vintage circa 2000).

An exquisite homage to 18th-century Georgian design, she perfectly captures the romance of an English Country home.

Meticulous geometric lattice piercing, hand-turned twisted rope handles and delicate, individually applied porcelain florals - every inch tells a story of incredible English reticulated artistry.

As Royal Creamware is no longer in production, flawless intricate treasures of this impressive scale are increasingly rare and prized by collectors.

Whether simply catching morning sunlight or styled as a dramatic centerpiece, Charlotte deservedly steals the show.

|Floral Joy|

in abundance!

A massive thank you to everyone who shared their stunning blooms with me today. Looking through the tag has been like pure sunshine and I’ve enjoyed every colourful minute and hope you have too?

From hand-embroidered lampshades, to flowerpots, papier-mâché ducks, paintings and gloriously styled flowers - your creativity has completely brightened up our feeds.
