Have loved planting up this bed in a newly expanded bed in a lovely client’s garden. The garden is south coast and west facing. This bed was previously higher, blocking the view somewhat from the house up the garden and was narrower limiting the depth of planting. The aim has been to use plants that provide year round food source for bees / butterflies / etc; that do not block but rather enhance the view up the garden, and that adopt a more block style planting of fewer different plants rather than ‘a bit of everything’. A couple of gaps whilst we try to source the last two plant groups. Can’t wait to see how this develops. Hard landscaping by Wycliffe Landscapes and planting plan by Tony Harris. Plants supplied by Plants For Trade and Crocus.co.uk

Garden looking stunning after such great gardening weather. The soft summer showers with sunny intervals have meant verdant lush growth and the borders are looking stunning. If you have a chance this Sunday do pay a visit - gardens are open 2-5pm. And we have a plant stall too with plants we have propagated on site from plants you can see growing in the garden, all pesticide free.

On rainy days the pace in can be slower as there is not so much pressure to make the most of the weather. So you get to notice some of the remarkable things that you would otherwise not stop@to look at. This lichen on an old black walnut branch is just beautiful.
