Transformation Tuesday.. and it's a beauty!
Here is an en-suite that we recently renovated near Lilliput, Poole.

The brief was simple: a much larger showering space, adequate storage, plenty of neutrals with a coastal feel ✅

We retired the bath, said goodbye to the low level window and the dated glass wall. Opening up the space allowed us to accomodate a huge walk-in shower, whilst retaining a generous amount of storage in the vanity area.

We're excited to return to this gorgeous home next month, to take on the family bathroom!

Have you ever bought a beautiful warm-grey tile, only for it to look icy blue once it's installed? It’s not the tile; it’s the colour temperature of your light bulbs (measured in Kelvins).

Top tip: Daylight/Cool White bulbs (4000K+) will bring out the blue/green tones in your paint and tiles. Warm White bulbs (2700K - 3000K) will bring out the yellow/orange tones. Always test a tile sample under the exact lighting temperature you plan to use!

The Great Flooring Debate! Need to choose between traditional tiles and luxury vinyl tile (LVT) for your renovation? Here’s a quick breakdown.

Traditional tiles (porcelain)
Pros: Unbeatable durability, premium architectural look, 100% waterproof, and perfect for underfloor heating.

Cons: Cold and hard underfoot (dropped glasses will shatter!), more expensive and complex to install, and grout lines require regular cleaning.

LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile)
Pros: Flawlessly mimics wood or stone, naturally warm and soft underfoot, 100% waterproof, and generally faster and cheaper to install.

Cons: More vulnerable to scratches from heavy furniture, requires a perfectly flat subfloor, and won't outlive porcelain in the long run.

The Verdict: For a premium, indestructible "forever floor," go tile. For a warm, budget-friendly, and family-proof option, go LVT.

Both pictures you can see are LVT – one the more traditional wood effect and other is the more contemporary tile effect.
