We are a two man team, partners, John & Christine, based in Cwmavon in Neath Port Talbot. We have both worked extensively in the theatre and event production world, backed up by developing skills in domestic and commercial property maintenance. We work in carpentry, plumbing, kitchen fitting, laying flooring, hanging doors and shelves, basic electrics such as light fittings and sockets, and a lot

more! We are also working at height specialists so guttering and some roof repairs are also in our wheelhouse! If the task becomes more complicated, or something unexpected arises, we will communicate any changes and be clear what this will entail before proceeding. You will always know what is going on. We are fully insured, and all our tools and equipment are regularly inspected and maintained as your safety, and that of your property, is our top concern. I think our favourite days are when we get booked to tick things off someone's list! Today we were in Pentyrch and were well supplied with tea and biscuits too, so all in all a cracking day 🙂

Well it was a sunny day for us in Sketty today! This homeowner has a pair of celebrity visitors coming round towards the end of the week to see the results of the renovations she's been undertaking. Channel 4's Kirsty and Phil are bringing their Love It Or List It team to see how it's call gone, and apparently it is their first trip to Wales.

No indoor sneak peaks from us, but we were happy to help with a finishing touch - giving them all somewhere to sit after all their hard work!

Glad of the lovely weather today! We've had the mortarboard and trowels out in this week, re-visiting a lovely couple of clients who needed some exterior work doing.

The paving slabs on the front steps were wobbly so needed resetting, and the mortar in their beautiful old garden wall was in need of quite a bit of repair too.

We pulled up the slabs at the front and chiselled out the old mortar before laying some new bedding and replacing the original slabs. While that was setting, we hopped into the garden and started doing some patching and a bit of repointing to keep the one hundred year old wall going for a bit longer!

Remember, mortar isn't just there to stick bricks together, it plays an important part in preserving your bricks through sacrificial protection - it is a flexible and breathable layer that absorbs movement and expels moisture. It is designed to be replaced so that your brickwork doesn't have to be!

Well today involved a lot of cutting! We installed new custom base shelving in Brian and Emy's fitted wardrobes, in four bedrooms!
We built these to measure, and to take a lot of weight (it's fun when you get to demonstrate how strong they are by sitting side by side on them!). They are supported all the way around but without screwing into the laminate flooring as Brian and Emy wanted the option to remove them in the future.

It always makes us happy when our clients are happy 😊

Another Before and After! Boxing in some bathroom pipes in Cardiff today, lovely morning's work, and lovely to be back with Gauri.

We were able to match the board to her bathroom cabinets, and sealed behind and along any ledges to make sure any spills and normal bathroom moisture stays in nice accessible places for cleaning!

We are loving helping everyone get ready for the warmer months! This wet March seems to have given moss, lichen and other green grot a bit of a boost this spring!

Had a break between jobs yesterday and we were close to home so the CEO insisted we took him out for an emergency business meeting. He feels it has become more and more important that tennis balls be stocked at all times, and the motion was passed unanimously. I think we'll be a stronger business for it

From walls to floors, we're tiling again! Today we were in Cardiff with Brian & Emy. They had a wall removed between their kitchen and living room and weren't sure what to do with the hole left afterwards as the flooring was so different in the two spaces. We levelled the floor, secured new tiles, and finished with a lovely jade coloured grout as well as a triangular trim to help with the slight change in levels. The open plan space looks great now!
