It won't be long before we're getting harvests like this! ๐
Thereโs honestly no comparison between heritage tomatoes and the average supermarket tomato.
Heritage varieties are grown for flavour, colour and character.. not just shelf life and transport. Some are sweet, some are rich and smoky, some almost taste fruity. Every variety is different.
Shop bought tomatoes are often picked early, bred to survive transport, and can end up tasting watery or bland in comparison.
This year Iโm growing a mix of incredible heritage varieties.
Weird shapes, crazy colours, but the flavour makes it completely worth it.
Once you grow your own heritage tomatoes, itโs very hard to go back to supermarket ones ๐
Whatโs the best tasting tomato youโve ever grown or tried?
