Massive Congratulations to Mason our apprentice for passing his level 2 diploma in plumbing. Today was officially his last day as an apprentice so we celebrated with an early finish, pizza and diet coke on the pier πŸ˜€ If only we could have sat in a pub garden with a nice cold beer eh 🀷 It's been a pleasure having him with us for the last 2 years learning the trade, hopefully he has learnt lots of good habits from me and Ashley on the way πŸ˜‰ We look forward to working with Mason in the future and wish him all the best in his plumbing and heating career πŸ› οΈ

We are getting alot of calls over the last 2 days regarding boiler faults.
Example...
Boiler needs resetting or flashing fault codes on boiler fascia.
In most circumstances this has been down to frozen condense pipework that connects to your outside waste, which is causing the boiler to lockout. Often the boiler will be making some odd gurgling noises when trying to fire too.
This issue can usually be resolved easily enough by thawing out the frozen condense pipe.
This can be done by either using a hairdryer, running warm water over the pipe or using hot water bottles to defrost the frozen condensate.
Once defrosted, the condense should start running again and emptying the trap inside the boiler.
Some boilers may just restart automatically when heat is called for but some boilers will need resetting by pressing the reset button on the boiler.

There are plenty of videos on you tube if you are unsure so check them out if need be.

Following an incident last week which has led to one of our engineers self isolating, we would like to inform our customers of some Covid 19 safety guidelines to follow when an engineer is working within your home.

As standard our engineers will be wearing gloves and a mask throughout.
We aim to keep the number of engineers working within your home to a minimum, however there are occasions where having the three of us enables works to be carried out more efficiently.
Please be prepared to keep your home well ventilated throughout, regardless of weather conditions.
Where possible we ask that anyone within your home remains on a seperate floor, or where this is not possible a seperate room.

We would like to thank all of our customers for your support, without you we really would have struggled throughout the last year.
