💔 We are drowning in vet bills. Please help. 💔
This is just one invoice from one of our vets. We still have another £10,000 + due from Briar House — and that’s not including what’s still to come.
Right now, we are truly on our knees. We never imagined things would get this desperate. Dog after dog arrives needing urgent medical care — and we can’t bring ourselves to turn them away. They’ve already been failed once.
Here’s just a glimpse of what we’re facing:
🐾 Kirby just had a procedure costing nearly £3,000.
🐾 Bailey, one of our permanent fosters, had emergency surgery to remove a spleen lump while battling pancreatitis.
🐾 Sandy just had leg surgery for a painful luxating patella.
🐾 Jersey needed a dental and gets monthly arthritis injections.
🐾 Moo also has double luxating patella and is due for x-rays ahead of £5,000 worth of surgery.
🐾 Mr Tom goes in next week for bloods and x-rays to see if the mass on his ribs can be removed.
🐾 New arrival Summer has a tummy lump we’re investigating.
🐾 Another new arrival, Ted, is at the vets today for a full check-up.
This is without including regular costs like flea treatment, wormers, vaccinations, spay and Neuter costs.
And on top of all that — we currently have 11 dogs in kennels, each costing £13 per dog, per day. That’s hundreds of pounds every week just to give them shelter.
We are absolutely desperate. The bills are mounting faster than we can pay them. Every time we make a dent, another dog arrives who needs help.
