Coventry University

As part of Coventry University’s £160 million redevelopment programme, a new sustainable facility was commissioned for the Faculty of Science and Nature to inspire and transform the learning environment.

Designed by Arup Associates and constructed by VINCI Construction UK, the innovative building incorporates cutting-edge, environmentally friendly technologies to enhance the local ecosystem. It features natural ventilation and advanced energy monitoring systems that track factors such as lighting use and building occupancy — valuable data for improving safety, emergency response, and energy efficiency.

Spurlite, working in partnership with EMCOR Engineering Services Ltd, supplied practical and energy-efficient lighting solutions that complemented the sustainable vision of this landmark development.

SP-LINE46 - LINEAR

A high-performance linear LED luminaire designed for indoor applications, available in surface-mounted or suspended versions (with optional suspension kit). Constructed from extruded aluminium and finished with a durable powder coating, this fixture combines sleek aesthetics with excellent thermal management.

Equipped with High Power SMD LED technology, the luminaire integrates a linear cooling system to ensure optimal heat dissipation and long-lasting performance. The LEDs are housed within a special black anti-glare optical screen, providing a refined darklight effect and enhanced visual comfort.

The fixture comes with an internal symmetric 90° lens as standard, with optional beam angles of 65° or asymmetric optics available upon request.

Light colour options include 3000K or 4000K (standard), with 5000K–6500K available upon request. The luminaire offers CRI >80 (3 SDCM) as standard, with CRI >90 available for applications requiring superior colour rendering.

Powered by a built-in LED driver (ON/OFF), the luminaire can also be supplied with dimmable control options including phase-cut, DALI, or 1–10V upon request.

TINO 2 LED is the next generation of Track Spotlights in the TINO product family.

Manufactured from high pressure die-cast aluminium with variants for standard or DALI 3 phase track, TINO 2 LED offers efficacy of up to 162 lumens/W.

Options include a black or white finish, 3000K or 4000K colour temperatures and various beam angles.

The direction of light can be adjusted by tilting the luminaire to provide optimal illumination of features and displays.
