✨ HAND LOOM WEAVING WORKSHOP | Thrussington ✨

Fancy spending a couple of hours slowing down, getting creative and playing with beautiful yarns and fibres?

Join me at the gorgeous Thrussington's Village Store for a relaxed afternoon of Hand Loom Weaving. You’ll learn a selection of simple weaving techniques and use them to create your very own textured wall hanging.

⏰ 1:30pm - 3:30pm

No weaving experience needed, this workshop is perfect for complete beginners.

You’ll have a gorgeous selection of fibres to choose from, including merino roving, chunky yarns, ribbon, braided yarns and lots of lovely textures. Pick your own colour palette and create a piece that’s completely individual to you.

✨ Learn a variety of weaving techniques
✨ Create your own contemporary wall hanging
✨ Take home your finished piece
✨ Keep your hand loom and weaving tools so you can carry on creating at home

This project has been a long time coming. Daily life has got in the way more times than I’d like, but I’ve absolutely loved working on this ,figuring things out as I go.

It’s still on the loom (the nerve-racking bit is yet to come!), but I’m thinking of mounting the finished piece onto a panel of oak. 🤎. Featuring wool from The Wow Team
✨COMMISSIONS ✨ if you’re looking for something bespoke to fill an empty or uninspiring space. All I need is a photo of the space, your approximate size and any colour preferences , you can simply leave the creative side to me.

These larger woven pieces are definitely slow burners, but that’s part of what makes them special. Made slowly, thoughtfully and completely by hand. And hopefully, worth the wait. 🧶

Sometimes the best way to slow down is to create with your hands.

Join me for a relaxed 2-hour Hand Loom Weaving Workshop Curious Magpie and discover the calming, tactile art of weaving. Together we’ll explore beautiful textures, rich fibres and simple weaving techniques to create your own contemporary woven wall hanging.
