What does SUDS compliant actually mean? 💧

A lot of people hear the term but aren’t always sure what it means.

Resin-bound surfaces are permeable, meaning water drains through the surface rather than sitting on top.

Artificial grass is becoming more popular for spaces like this because it stays tidy, looks great and cuts down on maintenance 🙌

Not every driveway needs loads going on 👌

Sometimes keeping things simple gives the best finish.

Really liked how this one turned out with the lighter resin and darker border — clean, tidy and suits the property perfectly.

It’s amazing how much brighter and more modern a front driveway can make a home look once the old surface is gone.

We’ve got a few more transformations coming up over the next few weeks so I’ll try and post a few more progress photos as we go 👀

People often ask us what makes one resin driveway last… and another start failing after a couple of years 👇

Most of the time, it comes down to preparation.

The surface on top is only one part of the system.

What’s underneath is what gives it strength, drainage and long-term performance.

That’s why we put so much focus into:
▫️ Proper excavation
▫️ Solid sub-base preparation
▫️ Permeable foundations
▫️ Quality materials
▫️ Correct installation methods

A properly installed resin-bound system is also SUDS compliant, meaning water is designed to drain naturally through the surface rather than sitting on top or running straight into drains 👍

A resin driveway should look good on day one… but it should still be looking right years later too.

Anyone can make a driveway look good for the first few weeks.

The difference comes later.

▪️ Does it hold water?
▪️ Does it move over time?
▪️ Does it start cracking around the edges?
▪️ Does the surface stay solid in winter?

That all comes down to the groundwork and base preparation underneath.

A proper resin-bound system isn’t just the top layer people see.

It’s:
▫️ Correct excavation
▫️ A solid permeable base
▫️ Proper tarmac underneath
▫️ Correct resin-to-stone mix
▫️ Installed at the right depth

That’s what helps it last long term 👍
