Bathrooms and kitchens need a bit more thought when it comes to paint. Steam, splashes and humidity can ruin a normal finish pretty quickly.

Moisture-resistant or washable paints hold up far better and clean much easier too.
If you’re not sure what to go for, I’m always happy to advise before you buy.

Farrow & Ball have brought out a new Flat Eggshell finish and it’s a really solid option for busy areas.
It’s durable, water-based, scrubbable and has a softer sheen than normal eggshell.

Great for kitchens, hallways and woodwork where you want something that looks smart but still cleans up well.
Always good to see brands making finishes that suit real homes.

Warm greys, taupes and creamy whites add a bit of depth and make a space feel welcoming, while cooler tones give a cleaner, more modern look.

It’s one of those shades that changes with the light, warm and soft in natural daylight, a little moodier in the evening. Not too grey, not too beige… just a really nice balance that works pretty much anywhere.
