A new chapter for a village favourite.

For the past few months we’ve been quietly working behind the scenes to bring The Diggle Hotel back to life.

We’re restoring, renovating and reimagining this historic building as a place to eat, drink, stay and socialise.

We can’t wait to share more with you over the coming weeks.

Soft launch: 26th June
Official opening: 2nd July

This en-suite bathroom had suffered from a hidden leak which unfortunately caused the subfloor to weaken and the original floor tiling to fail over time.

After having the electric underfloor heating disconnected & removing the toilet, sink, and radiator, we demolished the damaged structure and rebuilt the flooring system from the ground up.

✅ Brand new subfloor installation
✅ Fresh floor tile installation
✅ Professional preparation throughout
✅ Finished with an Anti-Fracture Mat to help prevent future movement and cracking

The result is a strong, long-lasting floor installation built to stand the test of time.

At the start of the week, we went back to our roots for some returning customers!

With over 20+ years of our combined experience working “on-the-trowel” with brick and stone in the construction industry, it was great to get the “good-old” Scaffold & Stonemason tools out of storage and put back to work again to deliver another transformation for our valued clients.

This project involved demolishing the existing garage doors and reducing the size of the opening to allow for the installation of a window frame

There’s always something rewarding about working with natural stone — the character, the craftsmanship, and the finish it brings to a project never gets old. A solid start to the week and another happy customer at the end of it.

Bathroom Tile Installation – Stone Effect Porcelain

Another bathroom transformation. For this project we installed beautiful stone-effect porcelain tiles across the walls and floor to create a clean, modern, and seamless look throughout the space.

Before the tiling even began, we carefully built all the boxing-in around the pipework and waste connections. This step is essential for achieving a tidy and professional finish, allowing all plumbing to be neatly concealed while still maintaining access where needed. Once the framework was complete, we tiled directly over it so everything blends perfectly with the rest of the bathroom.

The result is a smooth, uniform finish where the walls and floor all flow together with the same tile — giving the room a high-end, cohesive feel.

Every stage of the job matters, from preparation to the final tile. Taking the time to build the boxing properly ensures the finished bathroom not only looks great but is also built to last.

This is the fourth and final bathroom we’ve tiled on this property, and it’s been great to see the full transformation come together.

For this space, we installed neutral tiles with a subtle feature wall & band to keep the look clean, modern, and timeless.

Four bathrooms, one property, all wrapped up. Another tiling project completed👌
