Retail Vs Trade Paint.
Both of these paints are made by Dulux and both sold side-by-side in B&Q. The one on the left is retail, and the one on the right trade.
The retail paint is much cheaper, is made from lower-quality materials, and contains less binder.
The one on the right may be more expensive, but you’ll be able to dilute it slightly, it’s easier to use, has better opacity, and will leave a nicer finish.
You get what you pay for with paint. Most Professional Decorators insist on using trade; It might cost you more money, but the performance is far superior.
