Some beautiful stone has arrived from Black Mountain Quarries for RHS Chelsea Flower Show by designer Max Parker Smith and build by
Hardwood Landscapes

Just needs a bit of work to transform the stone into a stunning water feature

We worked closely with both the Architect and Garden Designer on the design for this property located in central London. Access was tight and all stones had to be moved manually down to the basement.
We selected one of our carved granite bird baths to provide water and a gentle reflection. Several moss and lychen covered boulders were carefully positioned to create separate zones. Tied together with smaller pebbles and cobbles.
Elegant planting with ferns and maples at varying heights lead your eye towards the large brick background. A single light illuminates this beautiful Japanese themed space to bring this alive at night.

Boulders can make a big impact and when placed carefully provide a nice contrast with softer planting and multi stems. They also provide a back bone and structure which often sets the tone for the entire space.
