Here's a few shots of a domestic installation recently completed in Sheffield. The customer had 4 bedrooms on the first floor, which they were struggling to cool down during the heat wave. We installed a 5kw ducted system in the loft space, supplying a 200mm air valve in each room, with a return air vent in the hallway. This type of system not only saves a small fortune over installing a unit in each room, but It also looks a lot neater as only the supply air grilles in the ceiling can be seen.
We also installed a premium Mitsubishi 5kw wall mounted system downstairs in the living area.
The customer was not aware of how efficient these systems are at heating (as the majority of my customers aren't) but these units provide approximately 4kw of heat for every 1kw of electricity you put into them, making them around 300% efficient! Whereas a modern condensing boiler is approximately 92% - 94% efficient. They now intend to use this as their main heat source through winter and will be saving a fair few pennies!
To top it off...... there was 0% vat on this installation, in accordance with the recent government incentive including all domestic air to air and air to water heat pumps installations.
