We’re on a mission to transform a cozy garden corner into a vibrant oasis!

We’re breathing new life into the grass, turning it into a lush, green carpet fit for royalty. We’re dotting the perimeter with an explosion of colorful flowers.
Our client’s request? To make those stunning stone wall and stone path the star of the show, draped in a cloak of rich, lively greenery. It’s going to be a showstopper!

It's March, 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖇𝖊𝖘𝖙 𝖙𝖎𝖒𝖊 𝖙𝖔 𝖕𝖗𝖚𝖓𝖊 𝖔𝖚𝖗 𝖗𝖔𝖘𝖊𝖘 here in South Yorkshire!

As winter comes to an end (frost season bye bye) the spring growth begins and we can reshape our rose bushes.

𝖂𝖍𝖞 𝖘𝖍𝖔𝖚𝖑𝖉 𝖜𝖊 𝖕𝖗𝖚𝖓𝖊 𝖔𝖚𝖗 𝖗𝖔𝖘𝖊𝖘? Snipping away dead bits will stimulate the growth of new shoots.
Also, a well pruned rose bush allows for a better air circulation, and for the sunlight to reach better all leaves reducing the risk of fungal diseases.

𝕳𝖔𝖜 𝖙𝖔 𝖕𝖗𝖚𝖓𝖊 𝖕𝖗𝖔𝖕𝖊𝖗𝖑𝖞? When making your cuts, aim for an outward-facing bud, cut right above this. Keep 3 to 5 healthy canes cutting them on different lengths.

Artichokes are a type of vegetable that can be sown from seeds in late winter or early spring. They need to be started indoors or in a greenhouse, and then transplanted outdoors in May. Artichokes have edible flower buds that can be harvested several times a year. They also have ornamental value, as they produce large and attractive purple flowers.

Artichokes are perennial plants, which means they can survive for more than one year. They can provide green foliage throughout the year, as long as they are protected from frost. Artichokes need a lot of space to grow, as they can reach up to 2 meters in height and width. They are suitable for filling gaps in a large garden. Artichokes can live for about four years on average, but they can also self-seed and produce new plants. This way, you can enjoy artichokes for many years to come.

𝑬𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒈𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒆𝒏 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓, once in life had to fight with 𝒇𝒖𝒏𝒈𝒖𝒔 𝒊𝒏𝒇𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 on their plant! Didn't you?

But what if I told you that there is a 𝒔𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒆 𝒆𝒄𝒐-𝒇𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒍𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒑 𝒔𝒐𝒍𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 that can solve this problem?

It is found in the Yoghurt!
In the reality, the magic ingredient is the Lactobacillus which is a bacteria found in natural yoghurt. This bacteria is really efficient in fighting some of the most widespread fungus infections such as the powdered mildew (common in roses).

It is possible to easily create your own culture at home to prepare a powerful anti-fungi for your plants. Ready to know how?
You just need water, rice starch and milk.
First mix the water and the rice starch, let it to sit for a few days and then add the milk, wait for it to ferment. The fermentation process will create 3 layers: a cheesy foam on the top, a watery liquid in the middle and a milky serum in the bottom. The milky part is where the Lactobacillus lives and what we will use to spray on our plants to save them.

Today, let's explore two fantastic plant options perfect with a North-facing garden and two with a South-facing one for us living in England.

For a North-facing garden:

2- Wood Ferns - They are well-known for their ability to thrive in shaded areas. Ferns contribute to creating a natural and woodland-like ambiance.

For a South-facing garden:
1- Lavender - It loves the sun, and in a south-facing garden in England, it can thrive in well-drained soil. It appreciates the warmth and sunlight, providing fragrant blooms and attracting pollinators.

2- Magnolia Stellata - Ideal as edging plants around your turf, close to your fences, the Star Magnolia flowers suffer the strong wind and thrive in full. They adapt well to different soil types and have a delightful fragrance.

Worms are the unsung heroes of the soil!
They dig and wiggle through the ground making holes and tunnels and this activity improves soil aeration which promotes better root growth and overall plant health!
Also, worms eat organic matter (such as decaying leaves) and through to their digestive processes they transform it into nutrient-rich casting. Basically their p**p is a super fertiliser that makes the soil rich with nutrients like nitrogen enhancing soil fertility!

February is a time when some beautiful flowers start to blossom. Two of the most popular ones are daffodils and winter honeysuckle.
𝘋𝘢𝘧𝘧𝘰𝘥𝘪𝘭𝘴 are yellow flowers that symbolize hope and rebirth. 𝘞𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘏𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘺𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘬𝘭𝘦 is a fragrant shrub that attracts bees and butterflies.
