PaEri – Where Rural Dreams Become Home 🌿🏡

There is something deeply satisfying about watching a tiny seed grow into food on your table. 🌱💚

Our vegetables are thriving, and we couldn’t be happier with the progress. We have already started enjoying some of the harvest, and if all goes well, in a few weeks we will have enough to start selling too.

At PaEri, we believe in creating a self-sustaining homestead — a place that not only provides peace, but also provides opportunities. 🌾

Here we believe that the land can provide for you if you use it wisely.

We believe that the land rewards those who use it well.

When we talk about rural living, this is exactly what we mean. Not just open spaces and fresh air, but the freedom to grow, create, and make the most of the land around you.

The beauty of rural life is that there is room to dream, room to grow, and room to build something meaningful. 🌿

And one thing we are learning at PaEri is this:

If you take care of the land, the land will take care of you. 💚

PaEri- Where Rural Dreams Become Home

Before anything — you need water. 💧

Amanzi kuqala.
Mvura kutanga.

That to us was priority. We worked hard to get that system going.

No water, no life. No building. No progress.

Then we decided we needed a toilet.
Clean toilets = clean living.

Indlu yangasese ehlanzekileyo yimpilo.
Imba yakachena inounza hutano.

And then to the next thing, a room to store our belongings, okokufikela. A peaceful room to stay.

This is how we started our modern rural living.

Now we are looking at the next stages in our homestead journey. We have a good water system and everything is possible. We plan on doing horticulture, it’s something we love. We need good systems in place to make this work. We are loving the journey so far.

I chose this life… the quiet, the space, the peace. 🌿

Ngakhetha impilo yasemaphandleni.
Ndakasarudza hupenyu hwekumusha.

The birds singing early in the morning, the fresh air, the smell of the soil after the rains, the smell of the soil when tiling the land, the vast land.

And I would choose it again and again.

We didn’t know what was beneath the ground… only what was in our hearts. 💧

Sasilokhu sithemba kuphela.
Taingova netariro chete.

And then… life came out of the earth.

Amanzi yimpilo. Mvura hupenyu.

The joy of seeing that first splash of water coming out is a feeling no one can ever describe.

Homesteading becomes beautiful when there is a clear plan…
not just building, but building with purpose.

You need the basics:
💧 A reliable water source
☀️ A good solar system
🏡 A place to call home — even if it’s just one room to start

Ngamanzi, amandla elanga (a good solar power), lendawo yokuhlala — impilo iyaqala.
Nemvura, solar, nepekugara — hupenyu hunotanga.
With water, solar, and a place to stay — life begins.

With water, you can grow…
With effort, energy, and wisdom — you can create your own income.

At PaEri, we are grateful:
We have water. 💧
We have solar. ☀️
We have a comfortable place to stay. 🏡

Now, we focus on the land — trying different crops, learning, and building multiple streams of income.

There is no pressure — we are learning and trying.

Step by step… it will come together.

PaEri is peace.
PaEri is home.
PaEri means… no rush.

Here, we are building with what we have — step by step, piece by piece. 🧱

Akula rush lapha — siyakha kancane kancane.
There is no rush here — we are building slowly.

Hatimhanye pano — tiri kuvaka nezvatinazvo.
We are not rushing — we are building with what we have.

The land is being cleared, and quietly… something bigger is taking shape. 🌿

Not everything comes at once — but we keep going.
What may seem slow… is already becoming something beautiful. ✨

Siyabonga ngalokho esilakho.

We are grateful for what we have.

Building at PaEri has taught us so much…
Not just about construction — but about patience, planning, and being present.

We may not have built a lot yet, but every step we’ve taken has come with a lesson. 🧱

Isifundo esikhulu? Ungakhi ungekho.
The biggest lesson? Don’t build when you’re not there.

Even siting matters…
This house was positioned while we were away — and unfortunately, it was not placed correctly.

Siyafunda — ngoba lokhu akusiyo indlu enkulu.
We are learning — because this is not the main house.

Isifundo esikhulu ndechekuti usavake usipo.
The biggest lesson is to build when you are present.

Now we are back to planning again…

Sesitshayana ngamakhanda — sibeka ukuthi indlu enkulu izakuma ngaphi.
Tava kufunga zvakare — kuti imba huru ichavakwa papi.
We are now rethinking where the main house should be built.

And that’s okay — because every mistake is part of the journey. 🌿

Not every season is for building… some are for planning. 🌿

Even when nothing is happening… something is growing. 🌿
