It’s always good to go back to your roots with these kinds of schemes – modest but meaningful projects that show the value of clear design thinking and a strong planning strategy.
We’ve recently secured planning approval for the replacement of a deteriorating outbuilding with a new single-storey garage and workshop.
From the outset, our approach was to:
🔹 Upgrade a failing structure with a more durable, low-maintenance design
🔹 Integrate flood resilience measures to ensure long-term sustainability
🔹 Respect the rural setting while keeping the scale domestic and appropriate
🔹 Align the proposal fully with both national and local planning policy

Projects like this may not be the biggest in scale, but they demonstrate how thoughtful, policy-led design can unlock approvals smoothly — providing real value to homeowners and reinforcing our expertise in navigating planning frameworks.

New Restaurant Opens at Battersea Power Station

Mexican restaurant El Pastor opened its new location earlier this year at London’s iconic Battersea Power Station. The restaurant features indoor seating for 90, an all-year outdoor terrace for 60, and a private dining area with its own terrace for up to 26 guests.

JTDS supported Harts Creative, assisting in the production of construction information for the project and we can't wait to head down to London to experience the vibrant atmosphere and enjoy the incredible Mexican cuisine that El Pastor is known for. It was a pleasure to collaborate with Harts Creative on bringing this exciting new venue to life, and we are thrilled to see the final result.

We look forward to seeing the continued success of El Pastor at Battersea Power Station and are proud to have played a part in its development.

🚂 Exciting Project Update! 🚂

We’re thrilled to announce that our plans to transform the historic Leaton New Station into a unique holiday let have officially gained planning approval—and it’s even featured on BBC News! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c4gpp5xde29o

Originally a railway station that ceased operations in 1965, this building has fallen into disrepair. Our goal is to restore and re-purpose it, preserving its historical significance while preventing further decay. While necessary updates will modernise the structure, we’re committed to honouring its heritage.
This project will support local tourism, benefiting nearby businesses—pubs, restaurants, shops, and more. Plus, the design ensures accessibility, creating an inclusive environment for all guests.

A huge thank you to Berrys, whose expertise was integral to this process. We couldn’t have achieved this milestone without him!

🌟 Planning Success! 🌟
We’re excited to share that we’ve secured outline planning approval for two bungalows in Highley, Shropshire! 🎉
This wasn’t a straightforward application – we also had to gain planning permission for a new driveway off the public highway, located within a root protection area, to compensate for the loss of an existing driveway. Both applications were interdependent, meaning one couldn’t succeed without the other.
Thanks to a collaborative approach and strong justification, we’re thrilled to have achieved approval for both! A great result for our team and our client. 💪

We’re delighted to have been appointed by TAFE Advanced AG Solutions Ltd to design and deliver the external branding for their new European Headquarters in Newport, Shropshire.
TAFE Advanced AG Solutions is part of the Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited (TAFE) group – one of the world's largest manufacturers of tractors and agricultural equipment, headquartered in India. Their Newport site marks a significant step in strengthening their footprint in the UK and Europe, supporting the agricultural sector with innovative, high-performance machinery and technology.
