Most small independents don’t do this

I don’t know if it’s because they have a lack of knowledge or think they will prove themselves out of a job

But the truth is you can not cut corners when it comes to asbestos.

You are putting yourself and homeowners at risk

We love taking rooms and using the space to create something special

From two rooms transformed into one eye catching showpiece

But the journey started long before the team or tools showed up to site

It was the vision and hard work of Rebecca our in house designer working along side Andy Skegness to take a set of drawings and make them into a show stopping design.

But like with anything you have to break a few eggs to make an omelette and we certainly did with this job

Depending on the age of a property there is the potential for asbestos being present internally or externally.

This property was built before 1999 and had artex ceilings and old Marley tiles we advised the client before work could commence they would need an asbestos refurbishment survey completed to know if anything posed a risk.

The survey found that the

Artex was positive for asbestos

Marley floor tiles were positive

The asbestos company can now come in and safely remove all asbestos containing materials removing any future risk

We can then continue our works and start the 1st fix of the clients new installation safety and the client can have spot lights installed in the ceiling

The only way you can tell if artex in a property upto 1999 contains asbestos is to have it tested to confirm.

Don’t put yourself at risk by presuming it doesn’t look like it has and start messing with it until you’re sure it’s clear

If your tiling doesn’t look like this at the point of putting the tiles on the wall they will never look any better with grout or fittings

We just couldn’t leave these joists floating as they were on the part of the garage we were working on.

A single piece of timber nailed to the underside was holding the floating joists up. No wall plate, nothing fixed to the brickwork just a floating fibre glass roof

Although it’s probably been like that since forever we needed them out the way so had to make some changes.

Noggins between the joists to pick up the floating joists and joist hangers to tie it all together with twist nails 💪

Who ever thought one nail was sufficient enough to hold a roof on.
It’s the same on every other joist 🤯

Cable guys fu**ed up and blew the side off the render

He actually wanted to patch it with sand and cement and paint it but luckily client stopped him

Not easy patching this type of render up and it’s very hard to get it to match so it doesn’t stand out like a sore thumb

WOW 🤩

The day put on again by Lee and the team and his Hyrox club has been absolutely amazing again today for the second Hyrox simulation this year

Everything went smoothly and we met up with some familiar faces and also some new faces.

This place is an absolute credit to him, his team and Skegness. We are proud as a family to be apart of this club and gym❤️❤️

If you have ever thought you like the look of Hyrox or would love to give it a go get down to you won’t look back. No one here judges and absolutely everyone encourages each other 💪💪💪👊👊 and helps you every step of the way whatever your ability
