And we have plants!

The first of 3 plant deliveries before we start planting up this garden next week! It’s a great feeling seeing this garden come together!

Been a while since I have shared a post that showcases the whole garden.

In this visual you can see how we have knitted the different spaces together with interlocking shapes. This helps create better links and flow throughout the garden.

By introducing planting into the heart of the garden helps soften the landscape as well as adding interest and texture to the hard landscaping areas. It also helps invite wildlife in and around the seating areas.

The trees throughout have been designed in a way to partially block parts of the garden to increase the intrigue levels as well as provide dappled shade when the sunlight hits.

By having a change in materials when you transition or enter a new space states to the user that they have reached a different area within the garden.

Progress is being made on site following the freezing temperatures last week which included some snow!

The Prunus lusitanica hedging, Prunus ludidum pleached trees and Euonymus japonicus clipped hedging will help screen the neighbouring fence lines as well as providing interest.

There is lots more to do here with more planting to go in next month!

A new Nordic styled garden that I designed with thelandscapeservice before the Christmas break!

This space uses well-connected geometric shapes, providing a number of entertaining and relaxing spaces. The garden will use a small palette of well constructed natural materials, creating a minimalist Scandinavian effect.

Planting will reflect a rustic feel to soften the hard landscaping and be left to naturally change through the seasons.

The first post of 2023!

This is a progress 3D model of a Scandinavian themed garden in Dorset. We met with our clients before Christmas to talk them through our initial ideas an the direction that the design is going in and they loved it!

I am looking forward to developing this design and visuals further. This garden is to feature an outdoor kitchen, firepit and a log burning hot tub!

I am really enjoying developing this design from thelandscapeservice this week.

This contemporary new build is part of a major development within Poole. Our design mimics the exterior architecture as well as the interior design to ensure a harmonious flow from inside to out.

The design incorporates exquisite design features such as feature Italian cypress trees and a row of pleached trees to increase the privacy as well as providing extra interest. A pristine lawn with a porcelain paved edge with four stunning topiary domes in all four corners which helps connect the far end of the garden with the dining terrace and then the inside of the property.

The garden homes three statement pots with large olive trees surrounded by shrub and perennial planting which will add further height and texture to the space.

I love creating extra interest and texture in the lawns I design, especially one if this size and grandeur! This is achieved by planting topiary domed evergreen shrubs throughout the lawned area.
