DIY SOS – Southampton Build 💜🔨

Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve had the absolute pleasure of being part of a DIY SOS build right here in Southampton. As soon as we heard about the project, we knew we had to get involved and support this incredible effort for a local family.
Paul was on site from start to finish, putting in long days with a great team of sparks to complete all the electrical work in under a week - no small task! Jacob also joined for a day to lend a hand, and we were proud to contribute alongside so many talented and generous tradespeople.
The spirit on site was unbelievable - electricians, carpenters, plumbers, decorators, and more all working side by side to get the build over the line. It was inspiring, emotional, and something we’ll never forget.
Huge thanks to everyone we worked with. We already miss it!

Yesterday morning we finished installing these sleek LED under-unit kitchen lights along with a new socket for another happy customer.

When we first surveyed this kitchen, the customer told us it felt too dark and lacked both lighting and sockets - not ideal for any home! we quickly came up with a plan to install an additional socket and made to mesure LED lights. We always insure any job is done as seemlessly as possible with minimal disruption and little to no cables on show. Clean, modern, and functional just how we like it. 🔌 Office EV Charger Installation Complete! ✅

Last week, our team successfully installed two Evec electric vehicle chargers at a local business, creating brand-new charging bays for their employees. The installation was completed neatly and efficiently within a single day, as neatly as possible.

As an OLEV-approved installer, our client was able to claim back a portion of the installation cost through the UK government's Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) grant scheme, making the switch to electric both eco-friendly and cost-effective.

We installed a dedicated EV charging distribution board with a surge protection device (SPD) to meet the current regulations. All work was carried out to the highest standards and certified under NICEIC, ensuring full compliance and peace of mind.

Following an emergency call out this week for a concerned landlord we carried out some testing and diagnosed a faulty RCD unit causing constant nuisance tripping and loss of power for there tenant, as the board was an older style and none compliant we quickly priced for a replacement 18th Editon Consumer unit and returned the next day to install and provide NICEIC certification and an insurance backed warranty, Landlord and their tenant left happy and reassured ✅
