If your lawn is not growing, lumpy, brown in places, full of weeds it will.generally need scarifying as a start to allow it to breath.
And the sun was out. Blossom and blue sky 😀

Large garden being scarified for a regular customer. A bit late in the season so just just a shallow one. Lots of thatch to come out and remove. Will go again late in the season..after summer. I don't store petrol equipment so I use this UV3600 which works flawlessly albeit normally on smaller lawns..

I have been out and about this week. I am showing this selection of jobs because each of these customers opted for 'chemical free' pressure washing. No chemicals used to disolve algae and dirt prior or clean after.
So each job was done using pressure and water only. There was 4 years worth of tree sap on the patio of one job here making it nearly black but after an initial going over with the round cleaner i followed up with the knife-jet and it did a really good job.

This evening I was driving home, 4.45pm. I get a call. Man asks me if i gave time to cut his lawn. I initially politley refuse as I am inundated with work and also very tired. But something in his dissapointment made me change my mind. I was near Priory Park and only 15 minutes from his address in Leigh so went to see him. The man in question was 82 and disabed. Turns out he had a gardener (of sorts) in the past but who had deserted him. He had been contacting peple to help him with his garden.
One man he contacted was in Hockley. The man visited, looked at his lawn and told him it would be £180 to cut his grass?? Luckily, still being switched on at 82 so called gardener from Hockley was told to 'sling his hook' apparently.
This lawn is small but was very overgrown, needed strimmimg, grass collection and then cutting. But no where near a £180 job. The lawn obviously needs to recover but I did this in under an hour. Then treated his patio and pathways.
We then had a good chat and I got it in the ear from my wife later for being late home again.
So if there are any other so called Garden Maintenance companies or idividuals out there purporting to be gardeners who are intent on ripping people off.....Dont! It gives the genuine workers and our business a bad name.
But i'm glad I stopped and I will now be going back every two weeks to work on this garden and I'll make the time to do that.
So if there are any other companies or individuals out there purporting to offer garden services but inbtent on ripping people off...Dont! It gives the rest of us a bad name.
