Worked for an amazing group of people today to make their environment respectable. It was such a lovely day to help them and they were so complimentary to us. Thanks to everyone who said it looked better than when we started, to Laura for stopping to say hi (ps you rocked that jumper), Ste for taking time to chat and to open the gate! Helping the lovely Laura and Colin to create a gorgeous bed. Laura did a smashing job choosing plants and stones with me at the local garden centre. Colin and co prepped the area and then Laura and I worked the transformation.

Clive and I have enjoyed the return to gardening. It's been a physical wake up after sofa sitting over the winter but we're daubed in Deep Heat and ready to go. We've been very happy to revisit old clients and are pleased to report that they and their gardens are in good condition, albeit cold and a bit fed up after lockdown over winter! We've already spent time wedding, seeding and feeding as well as mowing, planting and clearing these gardens ready for a lovely spring and summer of sunshine. It's great to see the plants coming up and we've already found treasure. A lost wedding ring was returned to a grateful client after languishing in a veg bed for three years. All very happy to celebrate the return of a cherished item.

Hello. It's been a year of working but not much on here. Wanted to say that The Original Gardening Co is still up and running. We start working again for the year next Monday! The tools are sharpened, the trailer is loaded, all gloves are washed and paired, and we are raring to go. Happy to help with those wet, sticky leaf piles, unruly plants and invincible weeds that are still going despite the snow fall and cold snap. Angela and I finished the path! Angela hit the ground running/digging! She was a delight to be with, worked like a trooper and had some fantastic ideas for the garden. She added edging to a bed we made and seeded the grass where we reset the path and the edging. The path was hard work, like wrestling concrete alligators! Glad how it turned out.

My last day of gardening with Claire at Kimbolton. We've made loads of changes here. And so has Claire. She's off to do ...

My last day of gardening with Claire at Kimbolton. We've made loads of changes here. And so has Claire. She's off to do amazing work with some amazing people at Switch. I am gutted to be ending our gardening spree with her but wish her well and will remember our time together fondly. I have new friends working with me so will introduce them in due course. There is every likelihood they will get branches on their head or watch me fall over/into/under various items in the garden - let's hope they laugh as loudly as Claire always has. Xx
