Earlier this spring, we renovated the worst 600m² of this 1,500m² lawn rather than tackling the entire area at once.
Why? Because aftercare matters just as much as the renovation itself. Watering newly seeded grass properly is essential, and committing to watering 1,500m² every day is a huge task.
The line down the middle of this photo shows exactly where the renovation stopped. The area on the right was renovated. The area on the left wasn’t.
Both sides started out in very similar condition, but after scarification, aeration, overseeding, top dressing and consistent watering, the difference is clear to see.
A lawn renovation isn’t just about making a lawn look better for a few weeks. It’s about creating stronger, healthier grass that can thrive long term.
If your lawn is looking tired, patchy, mossy or thin, now is the perfect time to start planning for an autumn renovation.
