🇬🇲The Gambia 2024🇬🇲
This year we decided to support the Gambia Red Dolphins. This is a group of volunteers which patrol the shore keeping both tourists and locals safe from dangerous riptides of the Atlantic Ocean.
Every year at least 10 people die in and around Bijilo so it was time to take action. The Roots Beach Bar & Kasumai support two Red Dolphins to man the area but it’s just not enough and a watch tower was needed… so we set to work fundraising.
November came and I flew out to start the build with a local carpenter.
Last season we only had one death which was incredible.
Attached are photos of the build and opening - what an incredible experience, one I will never forget.

🏃‍♂️ Stafford 10K – Round 2! 🏃‍♂️
I’m lacing up my running shoes once again for the Stafford 10K, returning this year with a clear mission: beat my previous time and raise funds for something close to my heart.

As many of you know, each year I take part in a life-changing trip to The Gambia – and on 1st November 2025, I’ll be heading back out to support the incredible work we do there. From community projects to hands-on help where it’s most needed, this trip makes a real impact – but it needs backing.
