With this project, the existing cottage was demolished to make space for a new detached five-bedroom dwelling.

The project was challenging due to the planning restraints and the need to preserve the street scene, we decided to keep a traditional feel to the front of the property designing, designing the look to be that of a small cottage, but as you make your way to the rear of the property, the design turns more contemporary.

As a company, we took this project on for a client who wanted to improve on the existing planning permission and double the square footage of the property.

Once planning was received, the owner then sold on to a developer who finished the development to an extremely high standard.

Conversion of existing barns, some of which were used as holiday lets into a four bedroomed dwelling.

Plans included knocking through into the existing barns from the holiday lets, with a new corridor linking the holidays lets to the proposed new living area of the property. The rear barn was going to be used as an open plan kitchen/diner, the other half was for bedrooms and reception area.

Externally the existing barn was stone, with detailing around windows and doors. The existed barn doors were renovated with full height glazing, which opened into the living space, and a black stained cladding was used externally, to match the existing style which had recently been renovated.

An existing derelict farmhouse and outbuildings converted and fully restored into a family home, including loft conversion, garages with room above and a two story large rear extension on both sides of the property.

The house was renovated maintaining the farmhouse character and detailing, adding to this with large oak features to an open plan kitchen diner at the rear of the property.

The new rear extension had a full glazed wall, opening the space to the outdoors off the new kitchen diner area.

To the front of the property the dwelling had a large living room and snug area, along with several bedrooms on the first floor all with en-suites. We also incorporated a cinema room, games room and annex above the garages.

Two story extension to the rear of the property to create much needed family living space on the ground floor, with a log burner and bi-folding doors.

First floor extension gave the client an extra bedroom ready for a larger family.

The extension was constructed with matching materials to the existing dwelling and was an excellent solution within their budget to prevent them having to move house.
