Exciting news from us at Field & Fox 💫

A little sneak peek through this lovely archway into one of our newest projects…

Alongside this, we’re pleased to have our new signage boards now in place, marking the start of works and bringing a fresh look to the site.

We’re delighted to be working on a Grade II listed building—a privilege and a responsibility in equal measure.

We’re also proud to have already secured full planning approval with no conditions for this scheme, maintaining our 100% success rate to date.

From here, we’ll be leading the project through building regulations and into a full construction package, supporting our client every step of the way. It’s exactly how we like to work—offering a seamless service from first concepts through to planning, technical design and delivery on site.

Working with listed buildings requires a careful, considered approach. We combine design sensitivity with planning expertise to unlock potential while protecting what makes these places special.

If you’re considering a project—whether heritage or contemporary—we’d be delighted to help guide you from the very first idea through to completion.

More to follow as the project progresses.

✨ From Uncertainty to Clarity ✨

“From the very first conversation, the team guided us step by step, breaking everything down in a way that was easy to understand and never making us feel out of our depth…”

— The Filper Family

This is exactly why we do what we do.

One of our recent clients came to us feeling completely overwhelmed and unsure where to even begin with planning permission. With the right guidance, a clear process, and a collaborative approach, we were able to turn uncertainty into confidence — and ideas into a design they’re genuinely excited about. These 3D visuals certainly helped with that!

Helping clients navigate planning, unlock their home’s potential, and actually enjoy the journey is what matters most to us.

If you’re not sure where to start, you’re not alone — and that’s exactly where we come in. Looking forward to seeing this project come to life.

🍺 Planning Permission Granted ✅

We’re delighted to share another successful planning permission, this time for a much-loved local independent real ale public house in Maxey, Cambridgeshire 👏

The project involves the sensitive re-purposing of Grade II listed rooms to the rear of the building into new visitor accommodation — giving the pub a sustainable future while respecting and celebrating its heritage.

Our in-depth knowledge of local planning policy and listed buildings, combined with a strong track record of successful engagement with conservation officers and local authorities, was key to achieving this outcome. Careful coordination across multiple disciplines and clear, consistent dialogue throughout the process ensured the proposals were robust, policy-led and deliverable.

A great result for a highly valued local business — and another very happy client 💫

RIBA president: why I resigned my ARB registration.

Planning approved ✅

2026 starting with a bang 💥

Another planning permission secured — and a strong example of how a clear planning strategy and well-considered design deliver results.

This single-storey extension reworks the existing bungalow to improve layout, daylight and garden connection, while carefully addressing scale, boundaries and neighbouring amenity. Every decision was shaped by local policy and context, ensuring a proposal that planners could support.

Navigating planning doesn’t need to be a guessing game. With the right approach from the outset, good design and approval go hand in hand.

If you’re considering an extension or redevelopment in 2026 and want confidence through the planning process, we’re the team to talk to.

Great architecture starts with an idea… and the magic happens when that idea is brought to life through powerful visuals that help everyone truly see what’s possible. ✨📐

As qualified architects here at Field & Fox, we love creating drawings that don’t just show buildings — they tell the story of how people will live, feel and connect with a place.

We’re really proud to share that we’ve recently secured planning permission for two new homes within a conservation area. This has been a carefully considered project, taking into account existing tree constraints, historic access routes and a real ambition to make each home as area-efficient and thoughtfully designed as possible. Every dwelling has been shaped with care to sit beautifully within its surroundings, balancing character, context and modern living.

From early ideas to beautifully crafted visuals, it’s been amazing watching this concept come to life — and yes… our visuals are so realistic we can even capture the current great British weather while we’re at it! 😛🌧️☀️🧊

We can’t wait for the next chapter. 🏡🌿

A little win from far, far away (well… Bognor Regis). ✨

We recently were commissioned to design this staircase for a new facility, working with a leading local stonemason and manufacturer to bring every detail to life. Even miles from the studio, good craft travels well.

It might be “just a staircase,” but the small things deserve celebrating. Step by step. 👣

✨ Project Spotlight: House Transformation ✨

We’re proud to unveil this beautifully executed transformation of a classic 1930s five-bedroom home on a prestigious Peterborough road — a project we designed, secured full planning permission for, and is now fully built and listed for sale.

The works included a striking two-storey extension and a comprehensive loft conversion, creating additional bedrooms and significantly enhancing the overall footprint of the home.

This renovation brings family living into perfect harmony with the charm of the original period property, delivering generous open-plan living spaces, upgraded and expanded bedrooms, and a thoughtfully improved internal flow throughout.

A true example of heritage meets innovation, set in one of the city’s most desirable locations.
