This was less about creating new rooms, and more about reshaping how they’re used…

For this project, the brief was rooted in how our clients actually live. One preferred the comfort of having dogs close at night, while the other valued a quieter, uninterrupted space.

Rather than asking for compromise, we reconfigured the layout to create a shared master suite that allows for both.

Two bedrooms, connected by a large dressing room and luxury hotel like bathroom, offering independence without losing that sense of being together.

Set away from the rest of the house, the suite now feels more private, more considered - a place to retreat to at the beginning and end of the day.

The shift goes beyond the plan. It’s quieter mornings, better rest, and a home that gently supports different routines, without either needing to give way.

Life lately and studio updates…

- Gorgeous trip to Wales visiting friends over the bank holiday weekend ☀️
- Two great design proposal meetings last week with clients - it’s always great catching up and getting out and about!
- An insightful visit to learning all about smart lighting and experiencing their fantastic showroom
- A wardrobe consultation with the fabulous finally assessing my work wardrobe now I’m back after maternity leave; it was the best investment in myself and now feeling excited to go shopping with a clear plan
- Leanne’s signed up two new full house design projects last week 🙌🏼 (one being a returning client for their new house )
- A trip to Chester Zoo thanks to - River loved his birthday present 🎁
- Projects moving forward on site including the installation of a bespoke bed base designed specially for our Farmhouse project and made by ( our client is due to have twins this month so it’s all hands on deck getting the rooms ready before they arrive!)
- I’ve been working on something behind the scenes which is taking a-lot of deep thought, strategy and careful planning. I’m eager to launch it quick but I know I have to plan it properly so I don’t waste the investment in advertising ( the desire to move forward quickly is a feeling our clients often have and now I can relate to it 🫠 - I’m trying to remind myself to step back and be strategic and not to fall into the trap of impulsively moving ahead with things without a clear plan which often leads to costly mistakes. More to come soon!

Lately, I’ve been noticing how much the spaces around us influence the way our days unfold.

This thought started at our dining table, trying to feed my one‑year‑old. When the room felt busy, the TV on, clutter on the table, everything is so much harder… and time consuming. When the space felt calmer, things softened. Mealtimes flowed. There was less resistance.

It made me pause and think about how often we expect ourselves (and our children) to adapt to environments that aren’t really supporting what we’re trying to do.

This isn’t about quick fixes or universal answers. What works will look very different in every home. But paying attention to how a space makes you feel, and how it shapes behaviour can be a powerful place to start.

I’ve shared more of these reflections in my latest blog, Design For daily life: Dinner time tantrums.

I’ll be sharing more blogs in a series about other moments throughout my daily life; hopefully they resonate with you and provide some food for thought!

I’d love to know is dinner time a struggle or does it flow easy for you?

Renovations often start with a feeling rather than a plan.

A sense that something isn’t working, but uncertainty about where to begin. If you’re juggling ideas, budgets, timelines and advice from all directions, it’s easy to lose confidence before the project has even started.

Our Renovation Strategy Session is designed to create clarity.
Over two focused hours, we share our renovation experience and help you step back, look at the bigger picture, and shape a clear, realistic way forward. Together we’ll explore how you want your home to function, what’s worth prioritising, and how to structure your project so it feels manageable rather than overwhelming.

You’ll leave with:

– A clear action plan
– A better understanding of budgets and timelines
– Informed next steps, tailored to your home and lifestyle
– The confidence to move forward with intention

It’s not about rushing decisions.

It’s about making the right ones, in the right order.

If you’re feeling unsure where to start, this is often the most valuable first step. With experience across 100+ renovations, we help you plan with clarity, addressing potential challenges before they become costly or overwhelming.
