Did you know that Stotts Nursery owner, Billy, is one half of with his friend Becci?

Together they run outdoor workshops in the woods where is located.

There’s plenty coming up that will use botanicals from the nursery - plaster casting, lavender wreaths, campfire cooking, and private flower crown workshops to name a few! Visit our sister page or follow the linkhttps://backwoodsexperiences.co.uk/shop/ to find out more!

Too striking and beautiful not to share again!

Siberian type Irises are clump-forming with narrow leaves. They like a moist soil and full sun, and can be planted in a mixed border as they don’t have a rhizome that needs to be baked. (Some types, including the Bearded Iris, need well-drained soil and have a rhizome which needs to be baked).

The Siberian type varieties that we grow at include Caesar’s Brother, Sparkling Rose, Summer Sky, Perry’s Blue, Yellow Tail, Tamberg and I. chrysographes.

Pictured here are Iris ‘Tamberg’, Iris ‘ Summer Sky’ and Iris ‘Perry’s Blue’

Phlox divaricata ‘Blue Moon’

This is a low growing, shade loving phlox which flowers over several weeks from early Spring. The blue flowers pump out a delicious perfume and the stems are slightly hairy.

It likes dappled shade, in a soil with a little moisture.

Silene flos-cuculi ‘White Robin’ (formerly Lychnis) aka Ragged Robin.

A white form of our native wildflower Ragged Robin, this plant likes a damp soil in full sun or partial shade. It often grows in ditches and damp hedgerows but is perfect for the garden too.

We’ll have some White Robins with us the at Kingston Bagpuize this Sunday! Hopefully see you there!
