Domestic abuse services for women and children in the Highlands could close under funding plans by Highland Council, Women’s Aid groups are warning.

The support of women, children and young people experiencing domestic abuse in the Highlands matters!
People within our community deserve the decades of experience and the well-established network of support Women’s Aid services bring, and this cannot be taken away.
The intention of the Highland Council to open funding submissions to a single provider to deliver domestic abuse services for all genders across all areas of the Highlands will not work.

Since our statement on Tuesday, media across the country have been covering this story including this one (https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/news/highlands-islands/6637015/highland-womens-aid-groups-could-be-axed/) by the Press and Journal.

Please help us by sharing this post and let’s make sure there’s a future for Women’s Aid services in the Highlands.

Finally the money came through from Crowdfunder and our Amazing donation was submitted to MND Scotland.

Thank you again to everybody who entered into the raffle and helped us raise such a monumental amount.

The website takes a percentage of totals raised however regardless all was donated and I am absolutely delighted! Given the original goal was set to £500.
