🐱 We absolutely loved building this one.

This customer wanted to give their cats a safe outdoor space without taking over the whole garden, so we designed and built this bespoke catio to fit perfectly alongside the house.

It's amazing how a bit of timber and mesh can completely transform a space into somewhere the cats can climb, watch the birds and enjoy the fresh air safely.

🐾 We think we’ve found our thing…

When we started Tooligans, we were basically two cousins with some tools, taking on all sorts of handyman and garden jobs and seeing where it would take us.

Fast forward to now… and somehow we’ve become the catio guys 😂🐱

And we absolutely love it.

We finished this one recently and, without a doubt, it’s our most ambitious catio yet. Every time we build one, we seem to come away with another idea for how we can make the next one even better.

This one has everything — multiple levels and shelves, a hammock, rope ladder, custom-made scratching posts, a run up in the rafters and a proper black bitumen roof to give plenty of shade.

There’s something genuinely satisfying about starting with a pile of timber and ending up with something like this, knowing there are going to be some very spoilt cats climbing all over it 😂❤️

We’ve learnt so much since building our first catio, from the materials we use to the little details in how we construct them, and we’re constantly trying to improve what we do.

It feels like we’ve finally found our little niche with Tooligans, and we honestly can’t wait to see where we can take it.

A massive thank you to everyone who’s trusted us to build for them, recommended us, shared our work or even just left a nice comment. It means more to two small local tradesmen trying to build something of their own than you probably realise.

🏡 Shed Roof Replacement – Another Leak Fixed the Right Way!

When this customer first got in touch with us, their shed roof had been leaking every time it rained. Unfortunately, whoever installed the roof previously hadn't done the job properly, which meant water was still getting in and causing damage.

This is where we stepped in to put things right.

We started by stripping the entire old roof back so we could inspect the structure underneath. We then removed and replaced the rotten roof beams before fitting new side timbers.

With the structure repaired, we installed new OSB roof boards across the whole roof, followed by a fresh waterproof roofing membrane. We then fitted roofing battens before laying the new bitumen roofing sheets and securing everything with specialist sheet fixings.

The result? A roof that's:

✅ Strong and solid
✅ Fully weatherproof
✅ Built to last
✅ No more leaks!

The best part of any job is seeing how happy our customers are once it's finished. These customers were absolutely over the moon with the transformation and have already asked us to come back to complete more projects around the property.

They're genuinely lovely people, and we're really pleased we could step in, put things right, and provide the standard of workmanship they deserved.

As a finishing touch, the customer has since stained the new timber fascia a lovely brown, and it really finishes the whole project off. We'll also be back soon to replace the windows and doors, so keep an eye out for the next update!

🐾 Roof Replacement Complete! ☀️🌧️

This wasn't a catio that we built. The customer already had the enclosure but had been experiencing ongoing leaks from the existing roof.

After taking a look, we found that the old roof didn't have enough of a fall for the rainwater to drain away properly, which was causing water to find its way into the catio.

Our solution was to remove the old roof and build a new sloping roof structure before fitting brand new clear corrugated roofing sheets. This not only keeps the catio bright and airy but also allows rainwater to run off as it should, helping to eliminate the leaks.

A big thank you to Clear Amber for supplying the high-quality roofing materials used on this project. Their products were fantastic to work with, and we're really pleased with the finished result. 👏

The customer is absolutely over the moon with the finished result, and we're really pleased we could give their cats a dry, comfortable space to enjoy all year round. 🐱

🐱 We’ve just finished our latest catio project — and this one has definitely set a new standard for us.

A huge amount of planning went into this build, from researching and sourcing the right quality materials to improving the way we actually construct each part of the enclosure.

There has been a real learning curve in getting our catios to the standard we’ve now achieved, but looking at the finished result, it has all been worth it.

This catio comes complete with a fitted artificial grass base, climbing shelves, a cat ladder, scratching areas and plenty of space for the cats to explore and relax. Every feature was carefully planned to make sure it was structurally sound, safe and enjoyable for the cats using it.

Since completing this project, we’ve also given the Tooligans page a complete shake-up. We’ve moved away from promoting all the different types of work we do and are now putting our main focus into what we’ve become best known for: bespoke catios and pet enclosures.

It’s honestly crazy to see how far Tooligans has come in just one year. Based on the number of reviews we’ve built up and the quality of the work we’ve completed, we genuinely believe we’re very close to becoming Swindon’s number-one choice for bespoke catios.
