Years ago, someone older and wiser than me said:

“You can often judge a painter by the amount of paint on their brush and their hands.”

I’ve no idea whether that’s universally true, but I’ve always understood the point they were making.

A brush is a tool, not an ornament and this brush has just glossed 3 doors and some skirting.

The goal isn’t spotless hands, but a clean job helps towards a finish the customer is happy with.

This week’s paws for thought… 🐾

When working in clients’ homes, I always try to plan ahead to deliver the best possible outcome.

But there are some things you just can’t see coming…

It was a hot day, I was painting a large dining room, so I opened a window for a bit of ventilation.

I turned my back for a few minutes and the client’s cat decided to dance on the freshly glossed window sill.

Sometimes life doesn’t go to plan and you just have to dance to the rhythm… or in this case, the cat.

Here we go then — Facebook and Google Business page officially launched.

I’ve been busy enough recently to keep putting off setting the pages up, but finally decided to get them sorted properly.

Here are some before and after shots from a recent job for a client.

I’ve also been restoring the fireplace at home recently, so I’ll share some photos of that soon too.
