Another high-risk job completed safely today - a 2025 Renault Trafic spare key card added successfully 🔑🚐

These newer Renault systems are far from a simple plug-in job. To carry this work out properly, half the dashboard needs stripping out to gain access to the vehicle’s UCH module, where specialist equipment is then connected directly into the system.

This is not a job for cheap tools or guesswork. One mistake on these newer Renaults can easily immobilise the van completely.

Using the correct procedures, advanced equipment, and proper knowledge, we carried out the job safely and successfully with everything working exactly as it should ✅

Another happy customer back on the road 🚕🔑

This taxi driver came to us after visiting 3 different garages with an ongoing key issue. One garage had even “remapped” the buttons so the unlock button opened the boot instead! 🤦‍♂️

The key kept playing up despite battery changes and other attempts to fix it, leaving the driver struggling to work properly.

We stayed away from the cheap plastic imitation shells that never last and supplied a brand new, modern flip key built to a much better standard. ✅

Now the central locking and boot are all working correctly again, and the taxi driver can get back to work with a reliable key once more 👌

Early start today for this one…

Customer was on the way from London down to Paignton when she stopped at Taunton services - only to realise the smart key had been left at home so wouldn’t start again 😬 Understandably very stressed, especially with family plans over Easter.

4:30am start for me, but got out to her, sorted the issue, and got her back on the road 👍

Now she can carry on and enjoy some well-earned family time 🐣

🔑 Peugeot 107 - All Keys Lost Job Today 🔑

Not every job is a quick plug-in and program… today’s Peugeot 107 was one of the more involved ones.

The customer had unfortunately lost all keys, and unlike many vehicles, these can’t be programmed through the OBD port. Instead, the immobiliser system has to be accessed directly.

Peugeot decided to tuck the immobiliser box right up behind the heater matrix - which meant a full dashboard removal to get to it 😅

Once removed, I took the EEPROM onto the bench and programmed a brand new key directly to the system.

✅ New key programmed
✅ Vehicle fully working again
✅ One very happy customer

Jobs like this take time and care, but it’s always worth it to get someone back on the road 👍

Two Renault Clios in for spare keys today 🔑

These aren’t your straightforward OBD jobs - Clio systems can be risky to programme through the port, so I took the safer route by accessing the UCH behind the glovebox. With stable power and the right setup, both keys were added safely and properly ⚡

On top of that…
• 2013 Renault Clio sorted
• Peugeot 308 done
• Vauxhall Astra back up and running

Another happy customer back on the road today 👍

An Amazon driver in Redruth had lost the only key to his works lease van. As you can imagine it was a pretty stressful situation - no key meant he couldn’t work and deliveries had come to a complete stop.

I attended and managed to gain entry without causing any damage, then decoded the door lock and cut a new key to the code. I then programmed a brand new original Vauxhall flip key, getting the van fully operational again.

Within a short time he was back behind the wheel and able to continue his deliveries. Safe to say he could finally breathe again!

If you only have one key for your vehicle, it’s always worth getting a spare made before it turns into an all keys lost situation - it’s much quicker and cheaper.
